Roberta (Bo) Bosanko has advocated for and supported Move to Empower since its inception. As a board member, she actively advises M2E on healthcare issues and volunteers to head numerous committees for fundraising events and trade show conferences. Bo is an expert on the topics of health information management with a focus on ICD-10 quality and clinical documentation improvement and currently serves as Assistant Vice President, Revenue Cycles for the Hospital of Special Surgery. A nationally recognized speaker and panelist, she has also published articles regarding her work on revenue cycle management, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and military health specialty revenue cycle issues, and has served as a technical expert for the Orthopedic Workgroup.
She is an active member of various professional health management and medical coding organizations, such as AHIMA, AAPC, ACDIS, and HFMA, and has served as an advisory consultant on the Executive Steering Committee for HEDIS Measures and Data Quality Committees for the United States Military Academy. Most recently, Bo served on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, lending her services as a registered nurse to patients at local New York hospitals.
Roberta holds several degrees from prestigious colleges across the United States, including University of Oklahoma (BS, Pharmacy), University of Southern Mississippi (MS), Cameron University (BS, Chemistry/Biology) as well as Health Information Management degree from Stephens College and Executive Education course completion from Harvard Business School.
